Together, we introduced a solution which connected Apiiro’s application security posture management (ASPM) with Akamai’s runtime API security, completing the path to seamless API security from code to production. Reflecting on Year One: A Groundbreaking Start

When Apiiro and Akamai joined forces, the goal was straightforward: unify code and runtime insights so that enterprises can prioritize and mitigate API vulnerabilities more effectively. This would give security teams the visibility they needed to trace an API risk detected in Akamai to its root cause, the repository it’s located in, the exact line of code, and the associated code owner.

Fast forward to now, just one year later, and we already have many new customers benefiting from the collaboration. A leading data center and internet connectivity company, a top cable operator and broadband connectivity company, a Fortune 100 insurance provider, and a consumer financial services company all rely on the partnership to address critical API security challenges.

A big reason for this early traction can be attributed to the original motivation for pursuing the alliance: Apiiro customers wanted to protect their APIs beyond the code and into runtime, while Akamai’s customers were asking for tools to reduce mean time to remediation of API risks by tracing them back to where they showed up in code.

What’s New: Co-Selling and Expanding Reach

Starting now, Akamai is officially co-selling Apiiro’s code-to-runtime matching technology, announced in November.
